Throughout my study at ITE College Central in the pursuit of the Higher Nitec in Visual Merchandising, I picked up and developed many different skills through many varieties of modules taken.

From ITE, I have learned many different types of skills and knowledge related to my course of visual merchandising that enhance my design and marketing skills, this will give me an advantage when I decided to enter the Design or Retail industry in the future.

 

For example, skills and knowledge from Retail Marketing can benefit me when I entered the retail sales industry, as I already have skills such as sales communication to work in the industry. The modules assignment also allowed me to have a better understanding of the modules by having us to conduct research on various retail brand image and several field trip to the famous retail outlets such as Gucci, Zara and H&M. These trips allowed us to have a better understanding of what is the daily routine of the staff working there and also the basic function of the store.
