This is a collaboration of Ngee Ann Polytechnic Chinese Studies module “Folklore And The Arts” with Chen Su Lan Methodist Children’s Home to create an educational website for their children there to learn more about Chinese culture. The theme for me and my group was "Dragon Boat Festivals".

After assessing the children's needs and age, we had to create a demo website for us to take ideas and create the final website for the Children's. From this website we hope that the children's from Home will be able to learn more about "Dragon Boat Festivals". Moreover, on the website, there are many activities such as card game to keep the children's engage in learning about the festival. In this project, I had to take my website design skills to another further extend in order to create a wonderful website with my group for the children at Chen Su Lan Methodist Children’s Home. This assignment managed to hit the expectation for myself and my group as we had a good grade for this assignment, our lecturer and the teachers from the children home also praised our group for having one of the best websites.

Demo Teaching

This is a Combination of two years 2 modules "Curriculum Design & Pedagogy" and "Introduction To Children's Literature to produce a picture book and a lesson plan based on the picture book. After these 2 were done In the end, there is a Demo teaching using these two assignments. In this project, I have to pick up back my drawing skills which I did not use it since primary school.

This project I have to both draw a picture book and plan a lesson plan for 7 to 8 years old children based on the theme of Mid-Autumn Festival, making use of the knowledge and skills learn from the 2 modules such as curriculum planning and picture bookmaking. I learnt to include illustration and picture books to make the lesson more interesting for the children.

The feedback from the lecturer on my picture book, lesson plan and demo teaching was positive as they told me that I put lots of creativity inside my work.
